The claim

NEO opened for pre-order on October 28, 2025. The $20,000 Early Access tier was sold as ownership with priority delivery in 2026; the alternative was a $499-a-month subscription shipping later. A $200 deposit holds a place in the queue. Deliveries start primarily in the US; other markets from 2027.

Caveats baked in at the time

Teleoperation was disclosed at launch: for chores NEO does not yet know, an owner schedules a 1X expert to guide the robot remotely. “Delivered” and “autonomous” are separate columns on this ledger.
The Early Access tier gets priority; subscription units ship at a later date. The 2026 promise is tested on Early Access buyers, not subscribers.

What counts as met

At least one NEO shipped to a paying consumer's home address, confirmed by 1X or by a major outlet naming the recipient. Employee units, 1X home-testing units, partner demos, and press loaners do not count.

Status as of Thursday, October 29, 2026

No confirmed consumer-home delivery found. 1X's order page still reads “US Deliveries start 2026.” One October 22 write-up says units have gone to early-access customers since April but cannot point to a named recipient outside 1X's own program.

Checked against 1X's order page and press pages, The Robot Report, Robotics 24/7, and the secondary trackers that follow NEO. A delivery that 1X has not announced and no outlet has named would not show up here.

The release says first-year capacity, over 10,000 units, sold out within five days of launch.
