The claim

In its November 17, 2025 release announcing Walker S2 mass production, UBTech said it was “targeting an annual capacity of 5,000 industrial humanoid robots by 2026, scaling to 10,000 units by 2027,” with accumulated orders over ¥800 million and a target of delivering 500 units in 2025.

Caveats baked in at the time

  • The 5,000 is capacity, not deliveries. Secondary coverage often restates it as a delivery target; this entry holds UBTech to the word it used.
  • UBTech is HK-listed (9880), so the resolution should come from audited disclosures, not a press release.

What counts as met

Met if UBTech's 2026 annual results or an exchange filing state installed Walker capacity of 5,000 units a year or more. Deliveries are recorded alongside but do not decide it.

Status as of Saturday, October 31, 2026

The 2025 delivery target was beaten: Omdia counts 1,079 full-size units delivered in 2025, against the 500 promised, and UBTech reported the 1,000th Walker S2 off its Liuzhou line in early 2026. No capacity figure for 2026 has been disclosed yet.

Delivery count from Omdia's 2025 tally; the capacity claim awaits UBTech's own 2026 reporting.
