No independent success rates or deployment numbers disclosed, so treat the claim as vendor-reported demo. It matters because the model layer, not the hardware, is where most labs now compete to make robots useful in new settings.

Chinese embodied-AI startups pull in nine-figure rounds beyond Unitree
Since August 1, Noin Intelligence raised $74M for its GLOW world model and a foldable home robot, PokeBot closed a nine-figure Pre-A, and Discover Robotics took $100M weeks after another $100M+ round. China's embodied-AI sector booked about $13.86B across 322 deals in the first half of 2026. The money is flowing to model and world-model software, not just robot bodies, which is where capability gains now come from.

Holiday Robotics raises $105M Series A to move its FRIDAY humanoid toward factory work
The Korean startup closed a 155 billion won (about $105M) round, which it calls the largest Series A for a Korean startup, and plans to deploy FRIDAY in manufacturing in late 2026 and hit 1,000 units a year by 2027. Deployment is planned, not yet proven. The company is framing the cash explicitly as commercialization capital, betting that staying in demo mode too long is what killed autonomous-driving peers.

Global humanoid shipments tripled to 19,000 units in H1 2026, China at 97%
A Smart Analytics Global report puts H1 2026 shipments above 19,000 units, up 272% year over year, with China holding 97% of sales and Agibot passing Unitree at 44% share. Industrial and commercial buyers drove over 70% of volume, and full-year 2026 is projected near 60,000 units. These are shipment counts, not audited working deployments, so units sold does not mean robots doing paid work.

Jeff Bezos' stealth AI-manufacturing startup Project Prometheus signed a large lease in West Oakland, an area drawing advanced-manufacturing tenants. No lease size, headcount, or product specifics disclosed. A well-funded new entrant aiming at physical AI and manufacturing is a name to file away, even though nothing about its actual robots is public yet.
